A new start. Phase 3

So finally, time to blog again. And to start off, my dear friends and loved ones...to those that actually believed I took a picture with Tom Cruise...heres the news: I told you I was going Madame Tussauds right? So...haha. It is a museum with all the wax figurines of all the star celebrities! Haha, so this is for u... " You've been p'unkeD!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Haha... and yes, even you my beloved daddy...haha..sorry to play such pranks on you. =P But hey, thats the real Sam isnt it? =PPP

Update

After driving for 7-8 hours...I arrived in Tours. Finally. Gosh, can you imagine how tired I was after...haha.. I shant describe the drive much, but shall let the pictures do the talking.

Check out my wonderful Polo. Haha, the back was totally filled up and packed. Everything in 2 cars. I seriously do not know how am I going back to Singapore with everything.

So my instructor rented a car to aid our moving and he drove us over too. So I just had the mere job of tailing him and following him all the way...but for 7-8hrs. However, it was unfair as he rented an AUTO car with the CRUISE capability. And well, my polo was just a mere MANUAL...what made it worse was I only realised this at the end of the trip. (He did not looked tired at all throughout! --> Now I know why)

So following...following...

Well, I finally arrived in Tours Air Base. And the good news is, the runway is shared between the military and civilian! Thus, the next time I come back, I can just land and walk internally through the airport and straight to my doorstep! Cool huh. haha..

This also marks the start of Phase 3. At the end of it, I will officially get my wings and my rank. Indeed its a long long wait. But whats up for the start? Well, I have ground school (EETIS) for about 2.5weeks, then I will be making my way to Brest (West of France, near the Atlantic Ocean) to do my sea survival training ==> This will be interesting as I'll be thrown off the helicopter into the sea to survive...and also be strapped in a canopy IN a swimming pool...and I have to strap myself out or sth before I lose my breath. Lotsa stuff...and will start flying couple of weeks after. This also marks the start of my dream! Check out my new ride. =)

The Alphajets! =)

They're abit "FAT" though, with twin engines etc. But in true honesty, it looks like a fat sparrow or something. Haha, but hey, this flies up to 580kts. Crazy k.

I wonder when will I be doing this. OH, btw, I WILL be doing this in phase 3. Aerobatics is somewhat part of the course. haha...

So well, for now, this is all I have, I'll post pics of my new room soon! But for now...I'm glad. Tours is a much bigger city than Salon de Provence though. Downtown is huge...and keep me in prayers, I'm praying that there'll be someone who speaks English in the new church that I'll be attending. Love you all peeps! Ciao! =)
