INTRODUCING.......
Saturday, January 24, 2009
Hey guys! I'm sure most of you know that I'm currently looking out for a car so as to help me move around in France...well, I've ended my search and finally got hold of my very FIRST car in my life! I would like to introduce you to... my
Volkswagen Polo 75 TDI (2001 model) ! You might be wondering why i'm so happy when its a 2001 model. Well, with the exception of a totally brand new car which is ultra expensive, you can nv find cars this new here! All the other cars i've looked at at between 15-20yrs old at least!. So this...is a 3rd-hand car that is v.well maintained. 5 door, diesel, 1.4L 3 cylinder engine, with a high mileage (the only down point) of 203,000km. I got it at a very good price though. Firstly cars in my area of France are seldom taken care of. Ppl in this area do not wash their cars or maintain it. For eg, a car can be 17yrs old and nv had a bath of its own. its common. This car however, waas well maintained. Although it was passed down twice, there were only a few minor prbs. 1) Dent on the left hood. 2) Audio cover on the driver's door is broken 3)The airbag light is always on. Besides that, everything is good.
The drive is smooth, though a lil' noisy. (Just like a comfort cab, u can hear the engine all the time.) But then again, its 8 yrs old so this is expected. The windows are heavily tinted. Plus point, blocks the sun. Minus point, dangerous to drive at night. (I'll most likely take the tint of the front 2 windows off). Booth space is pretty big as you can see. And well, i love the radio! You can play cds, radio and directly from ur USB drive! Cool huh! Since i bought the car, i've bought a few accessories which are ESSENTIAL. The triangle (in case of prbs on the road), a mechanical flashlight, the floormats for the car (I can't stand it if its dirty inside), an extra signal light in case it breaks and a tissue box to put in the car! =) I was contemplating if i shld put a pillow inside..haha, well, if this was Spore, i wld. But i'm in France and in the MILITARY. Everyone who seats inside are all military. Pillow will be better off on my bed instead.
If you're still wondering how much i paid for the car...haha, ask me privately! Alright! Enough talk! Let the video do the talking..Presenting to u.... "_______" Can someone think of a name for my car? Haha...
Note: Pls don laugh at my hair. The French cuts really short hair, and even when i cut hair, they insist its long. Thus i've decided to cut really short. So this 3mm on the sides. haha... =P Enjoy!
All glory to God for this car. May it be used for his glory.
