"Take me to your church..."

Brother, you don't how much joy I had when you said the words "Take me to your church when you get back to singapore" meant to me. I was really glad. Sad to see you leave, especially when we're too busy training and can't get to send you off at the airport. But this is not the end ya? This is just the beginning of a whole new journey for you. You have great things installed for you. You may not believe in God yet, but I can assure you...God has his plans for you, and his plans are not to harm or crumble you, but plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future. This is stated in the bible in Jeremiah 29:11 . It has been a joy knowing you, and I'll continue to keep you in prayers.

My mum. 2 weeks ago, in church, the Pastor called me up to the stage and asked me to share my testimony on how I came to know Christ to the whole church. (I had a french translator). I went up, and I was honest with them. This is what I shared:

" Dear friends, I thank you for your hospitality and I'm very grateful to have come to this church. To be honest with you, I do not remember having a significant time in my life when I accepted Christ. I was born in a christian family, and my father was already a Pastor then. Being in a christian family, I was continually brought to church and that was how I came to Christ. However, over the years in my life, I have seen God worked and I can tell you he is real. One of this significant works was on the life of my mother. About 10+ years ago, my mum was diagnose with an incurable disease called Chrons disease. She was only given 2 years to live by the doctors. And to make matters worse, before that, she had two miscarriages and her world really seemed doomed. During those 2 years, she attempted suicide, but at every attempt, she held back. She suffered from depression. The medication she had to take was crazy. 30 tablets each day plus steroids. What was her weight of 40kg, became 80kg because of water retention. It was really bad. However, there was this night when a fellow Pastor called my dad, and told me that he had heard from the Lord to ask my dad to go to Toronto, Canada for a conference. We had no money, and we were in financial difficulties. But he wanted my dad to go so much that he just told my dad to go and he'll pay for the trip. During that conference, my dad witnessed a lady testifying that God has healed her from an incurable disease and it so happened to be the same one as my mum was suffering from! He went up to the altar and asked to be prayed in proxy for my mum. They prayed. After a while, during one of the prayer meetings in church, my mum had a vision from the Lord. (It's hard to imagine, but try to) She saw God holding on to her intestines, her internal organs and simply cleaning it, getting rid of the unwanted stuff. Her faith was lifted! She decided to slowly cut down on her medication. And after 2 months, she didn't take her medication at all. But being human, she took 7 months before she could pick up the courage to go and face the doctor to get herself checked again. Prayer after prayer. The church held my mum in prayer. They visited her, they took her out and encourage her. And each time, they stood by her. She finally went to the doctor and faced him. When the doctor checked her, he was shocked. He couldn't believe it and checked again. The end result? There was NO TRACE of the disease AT ALL! He wrote on the diagnosis, "Prayed alot!". 10+ years down the road...my mum is still alive and kicking. God saved her life and she has decided to commit her life to serving him. She is now a Pastor of the church along with my dad. God has never failed to provide for my family and I'm sure he'll always be there for you. Our God is great. Thank you."

Brother, this was what I've always wanted to share with you. My mother, my precious mother is still alive today because of him. I know you have many unanswered questions, but I'm sure we'll find the answer together each qns at a time. Perhaps when I get to Singapore, you should meet my mum. The lady who almost lost her life but is still standing now because of God. Keep in contact k? You're a precious brother. Have a safe trip back. =)
