The next day after the surprise was pretty mellowed-down after all the hype at the party. Basically I woke up late in the morning bout 10+++ as I slept pretty late bout 4am the night before...den went down to church to meet the youths and those who were having music practice. Can't remember what really happened but I do remember going down with Zen and Grace to wheelock place to get a bag for my camera! Haha...yes...with Zen, there's always only ONE option. CRUMPLER. So being the nice fren of his....hahaha, ok. I bought a crumpler for my camera. I love it lots. Same colour as his big bag too but hey, minez the baby-sized one. haha I had a tremendous time with the youths...going back and seeing everyone, truly heartwarming. AND OF COURSE....going back to my arena...foosball, it was fun ppl. Truly fun. Haha
Next day Sunday...again, it was good seeing all the fellow Uncles and Aunties...and the little rangers! But my afternoon was spent on visiting my previous church youths, dunamis rock. I've not seen them for a good 5-6 years and so much has changed. I still remember when I stepped in the hall...i was welcomed..and when everyone was sitted..there was this gal who kept staring at me....I stared back...and got stunned! Its AMANDA...goodness..she was like at my waist level when I left Moriah, and now shes like my shoulder height! (Ok, i know i'm not v.tall but still thats a long time k!) I couldnt recognise her and boy....all the youths in DR now were those who were still in Kids church when i left. Haha..amazing. And guess wad...ONCE AGAIN, there was a foosball table there, and I played...and again, TRULY FUN guys. Haha... awesome.
Spent the late afternoon and night hanging and chilling out with Ben, Pam, Aaron, Jeslin & Yu xuan. Had dinner at Din Tai Fung @ Wisma before going over to Paragon's coffee bean to chill out. It was really nice...shen joined us over at paragon..and after about 2hrs plus, we were all tired and we went back. Haha.. Thanks guys for the wonderful day.
Monday! Ok, last part for this entry... again woke up late at 10+++....went out with daddy to do his phone...we went to Toa Payoh central..but the starhub shop there... (MUST COMPLAIN...official time to open : 11am. We were there at 12pm, it was still closed. We went to the shop next door and asked...the shop owner said that next door always come late.) Woahh....angry...anyway, we were deciding to go down to PS instead when daddy said he dint feel well so we'll do it another day. Thus.. we headed home. So today, I was supposed to meet Pam. She's my childhood fren whom I grew up together with, frm DR too! Met her and we went out to chill and catch up. But ultimately, the goal for the day was "Shop till...see who drops first!" Well, she met her match. We went to Ion to look around...(I shall cut the long story short)... we went to Fred Perry...look ard...she saw this guy's shirt...she showed me, my eyes brightened...I saw the price tag..my eyes sagged...but nvm, TRYING IS FREE....thus i went to try...(it's this blue & white small stripped shirt that feels like silk..etc) Tried on...opened the changing room door, Pam saw....she screamed "AHHH!!!! SO NICEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I closed the door...changed back...came out... & .. B U Y. Hahahahahaha...it costs me ... go figure. Haha
Oh well...not spending for 4 months in France had me changed for these 3 weeks in Singapore. So anyway...we were looking around where to eat...but no idea as everywhere just seemed too crowded. Then I asked Pam when was her birthday..she told me 29th August.. I decided to give her her birthday present. KUISHIN-BO. Haha..my current Japanese place. So food was awesome, both parties were happy...sent her back, went up to meet U.Leonard..it was soo long ago that i've met him. Really long. Wanted to meet A.Doris too but she was out. Newae, it was nice meeting such dear people. Went back and had a superb night.
Ok! Will not be blogging till next weekend...tml starts my revision simu...den perhaps a revision flight...den back to my progression = 5 flights more to my 1st major test! I gotta play catch up now, keep me in prayers!
It's time to F I G H T.
Oh...just before I go... a testimony.
I went to church today but realised my friend wasn't in. But I just felt something different. Like my break in Singapore kinda refreshed me. Praise and worship was awesome. But when it came to sermon...again, it was all in French and I couldn't understand. Thus today, I tried something different. I didn't want to leave as I felt bad the other time. So this time, I took down and copied all the verses that the Pastor used. Wrote it down word for word...and seriously, he used alot! Thus, I spent the whole 1hr copying. But at the end of it...writing down every word gave me an idea of what the sermon was about. It was about the will of God and how we should not conform to earthly desires...etc. Then at the altar call...I felt God speaking to me. I started to voice out "wings of eagles...walk...not grow weary" It sounded all so familiar to me. I took up my bible...searched for "eagles" and found it.
Isaiah 40:31
"Those who hope in the Lord shall renew their strength for they shall soar like wings of eagles. They will run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint."
Amazing..I came back, talked to daddy about it. And he told me that eagles take flight by waiting on the wings and at the right time, they spread their wings and glide through. Eagles in flight can see from above, and as we wait on the Lord, our perspective is different. As a child of God, it is encouraging to have eagle's vision to see the big picture.
