22 years ago I was brought into this world...
22 years later...the legacy continues...
HAHAHA , ok all those were crap. haha...many have asked me how I spent my 22nd birthday, well this entry is exactly what you shld read then, but don't be surprised tt was how i spent it, it was the only way i could. haha..
I woke up early in the morning at about 630-7am cuz of all the msgs and calls from my loved ones...really glad to be a yr older again. Spent my morning watching x-men cartoons and proceeded to taking out the tint on my car's front 2 windows as it affects my vision when i drive at night. Bout 10am, i went running together with the guys. Ran about 6-8km in 40mins...not really fast but this is considering the fact that the last i ran, was really about 1-2mths back! haha...after tt, we came back, had lunch at the mess and back to my room. I watched the show "The Red Baron". Really
interesting..bout the infamous WWI pilot who had 80 kills to his name. At about 1.30pm, i drove to Marseille along with the guys to do some shopping and a superb dinner. Wanted to get a watch for myself,(a cheap one) so that i can use in flight as my chrono is spoilt, but i cldn't find a cheap and good one, so end up not buying anything. But dinner was great. Met up with my french colleague who stays in Marseille and we went to pretty good restaurant for dinner. I had france's version of Fish Soup! haha...its really different compared to our yu pian tang...definitely. After dinner, drove back to my base...went in my room..and guess wad? Continued watching my x-men cartoons! haha, i'm currently re-watching my childhood fav.show. X-men. From season 1 - 5 ! lol..crazy huh?
Well, just wanna say a big thank you to everyone for wishing me a blessed and happy birthday. Indeed, age catches up very fast once you cross 21. haha...
This is the next big news. I had a talk with the Pastor today, joined them for music practice today as well and guess wad? I'm playing for service next sun! Unfortunately, they're not short of drummers, but are short of guitarist, thus i'll be playing guitar with em. God is indeed great. He put me through 6 years of classical guitar...and i thought it was such a waste. But it has nv been. Everywhere i go, this guitar skill of mine, though not excellent or at a superb level, i'm still able to use it to minister to ppl and to serve him. God definitely has his ways...
Keep me in prayers brothers & sisters, it was really different playing in a total language, especially if i don't understand the things they say....its totally different frm Hokkien service too. Haha.. God, thank you for opening the doors. =)
Some pics for u:
This was how we spent our CNY. Steamboat in our room!
Scallops...prawns...fish...
This is me...eating with LOADS of Chilli. I dunno why but i can seriously take any level of chilli in France! This sambal is from Singapore but i ate it with no prob! I'm v.sure its the weather. HAHA
My 22nd Birthday...at the restaurant =)
My friends...France and Marseille's specially, their version of Fish Soup!
And oh.. all glory to God for helping me pass my Simulator AMV phase! Next up for simulator is NAV (7 simu) phase and after that, it's done! As for my flight, keep me in prayers as i'll be taking my NP10 test tml (if weather is bad, the day after). If i pass, NP phase is over and straight to the last part of my entire phase 2, the NC phase. To cut short everything, I'm just 11 flights and 7 simus away from realising my dream of being in a fighter!!! After this , i'll be training on the fighter platform and on the alphajets =P
THANK YOU JESUS!!!
==> Challenge for February will be up soon!
