Haha...am I proud of that as what? My friend, I am glad that you thought i was writing a bible...because hey, blogs are meant to encourage others and glorify God. At least thats how i view it. Haha =P
Today was a really great day.
Woke up at 7am... (I really got a prb waking up late) , replied an email and guess what, I got into my running gear, and decided to go out for a run! In the cold morning, there goes Sam walking out of his room...ready to run. 3...2...1...off he went! I went running around the whole base. Went a big circle around the runway....den I realised the path was extremely muddy so I had to walk for quite a long distance as I didn't want to get myself all down and dirty so fast...haha...in the end, i spent an hour+ walking , running and jogging around the base and back to my room. It was a great run...I looked at the time and it was 9+ , went online...finally received the details of the youth outing we have today from Greg and Yatch (my kind french translator). PAINTBALL @ 1pm. Cool! I was up for it! Den Yatch told me she gtg to church as she have music practice for tml...I asked if i can come down and take a look, she said its fine. So i bathed, changed, did my QT and well, I set off to church.
You know, after spending 3 months away from my musical instruments...i really have withdrawal symptoms. I went to church, watched them...they had a drummer, guitarist and well vocals. They were getting ready and after awhile they got started. Guess what happened after that? The Samuel that you guys know...innocently went to the piano to sit and watch. And all of a sudden, they asked if i wanted to play along with the piano. I looked at them, and said i only know abit of piano. To cut the whole story short...I ended up playing the whole practice with them ON PIANO!!!!!!!! My first time touching a musical instrument in france for practice!!! And its the PIANO!!!!!!!!! haha....we sang lots of songs, and the last song? Shout to the Lord in FRENCH then English....man, it was cool. The joy of music was superb!
After that, we had kebabs for lunch and off we went for PAINTBALL! Man, paintball here is so different. We're in the real forest, and we just shoot each other. Reminds me of BMT training though, just that the bullets got colours. Haha...my result? 4 deaths , 3 kills. Not v.good but good for first time! AH! Haha...but sadly, Samuel here got SHOT IN THE HEAD...by someone accidentally. My head now has a lump...haha...hope it'll subside soon. *Yes dad, mum, jie, esther...DON'T WORRY , i'll take good care of myself and im fine. =)* Haha....it was really fun.
After paintball we head back to church, for a short time of worship and sermon. Pastor talked about us dedicating our lives back to God. Mentioned about Luke 18 , the guy who asked Jesus what did he have to do to gain eternal life...and Jesus told him to sell all his possessions and follow him... i was really ministered. I got to say, I got to thank God for Yatch. Despite her being so tired, she was still able to translate the whole sermon to me. Indeed am grateful. God has been so wonderful providing me with such friends, such cool activities....gosh. Just 2 weeks ago, my instructor brought the guys and myself to karting and laser quest. It was so fun I tell u....ya, i know. After reading this entry, you guys must be thinking that Samuel here seems to be on holidays then training. Haha...well..i can only say.. "Work hard, play hard" =)
