What do you do when you've been put into a situation whereby you're all alone, standing up for what you believe in?
Paul was a guy who pursued his dreams. He went overseas leaving behind his family, his loved ones, his friends...it was a dream that he thought he could never realise, but he did. However, little did he know, this dream wld cost him everything. He was looked down at, shouted at, taken advantage of...yet he tried to stand up for what he believed in. Often he knelt down in his room and cried, but time and time again, Paul was just hurt. Soon, he thought that he was taking things too hard and he shouldn't be all so emotional. It was time to grow up.
You see...this was his struggle. Being overseas, he had no one to talk to. There were huge language barriers. No one was ever online for him to share his joys and pains with, calls were just too expensive for him to handle. Often he rushed back, hoping to find someone online to talk to, regardless of who, he'll be excited. However, by the time he reached his room, it was too late and everyone was asleep. Sometimes he wished he could pick up the foreign language just with the snap of a finger, but it was not to be.
As time passed...Paul developed a layer of emotional barrier around himself to prevent himself from being hurt. He grew more and more rock-hearted so as to survive in the foreign land. However, this meant that the once emotional and sensitive Paul was getting deeper and deeper behind the mask.
This is his struggle. What should Paul do? He doesn't want to get hurt anymore, but he does not want to be this rock-hearted and joyless guy as well. How can he get a balance?
Anyone wanna help Paul?
