My dear Friends...
I've so much to update. Haha, but first, I've something, someone and truckloads of stuff to thank God for.
Firstly...dear daddy Jesus, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GUIDING ME ALL THE WAY...
I GOT MY WINGS!!!
It means the world to me to be finally considered an official WSO FTR. To be part of the family of fighters, to be able to soar the skies faster than the speed of sound and to witness your incredible creations from your point of view. Indeed I've learnt, suffered and enjoyed much, but none of these would not have happened had it not been for you. Thank you Jesus. You've been my pillar of strength, comfort and joy. All glory to you and this wing, belongs to you. Continue to be my pilot in all my flights, missions and plans. Thank you Father.
This wing represents more than what I've achieved. It represents the fulfillment of my childhood dream, to be able to look at planes in a book and fantasize...and to finally be able to be in a real fighter, doing real fighter stuff and being a real fighter. But more important than the dream...this wing also represents the love & prayers of my parents, sister, close friends and friends.
Dad, mum, jie... I know it must be hard on you to actually accept the fact that I've chosen this path. Especially mummy, I know deep down you're worried sick, always praying for my flights, but I thank you all for being patient with me, my rants, my raging tantrums, my frustrations... I apologise if at any point of time I made you worried sick. I love you all and nothing beats having you guys as my family. I'm extremely proud to have such loving parents and sister. Dad, mum...I will never forget how you stopped your work immediately and rushed back home to be with me after a bad session at the centrifuge training. I was so weak, but was so touched by your actions. Thank you for loving me and being a tangible Jesus in my life. Jie, we've been miles apart for so so so long, i miss your little naggings and advices from an elder sister. You've always been my inspiration to never give up one's dream. You started piano when you were so tiny...and look where you are now...all graduated and al grown up to be a mature young lady! I'm proud of u sis, no matter where you are, know that your brother is always here for you alright? :) Dad, mum, jie...this wing also belongs to you.
The next person I wanna thank.....smiles. I don't recall ever doing this on my blog as I'm not a big fan of praising a particular person openly like that. Haha, but my dear Esther...you deserve this. Christmas 2005 was when I first noticed you...when we were choreographing a particular dance routine together...you may not rmbr, but I certainly did! At first I thought it was just a crush kinda thing...you know....how little boys behave...but never did I expect the next 4yrs to be such an interesting but yet challenging one. Long story short...we were nice to each other, hung out quite abit...and you've always been so supportive of me. I still rmbred the phone call conversation when I told you Air Force accepted me as a pilot trainee, you were SO HAPPY for me, even more than I was for myself! But when my training took a drastic turn, you nv failed to encourage me...I still had that dream and thus went for WSO FTR...I passed the initial stages and you were so happy for me again. Doing my g-fet, you encouraged....and did something which really touched my heart. Then the bombshell came...I had to go to France. You tried your best to put on a smile to let me know you were really glad for me, but deep down you were devastated. Now... 1.5yrs in France, you've weathered my rants, you've stayed up to the wee hours of the morning JUST to talk to me, but what touched me...was you actually FASTED for me when I took my tests. In my entire life, only my parents have done that for me, but nv someone else. My dear gal, this wing also belongs to you.
To all my frens out there....close ones from GMSS, detons, SAF, dr....and wherever you are...thank you so much. I'm proud to have such awesome friends :)
