An awesome Sunday

Sunday, June 07, 2009

Today seemed like any normal sunday...woke up, got ready...went to church. But something seemed to be a lil different, but I just didn't know what.

I saw Benjamin (the French pilot trainee I was talking about whom I met in church) and sat with him, he has been such a blessing to me. Translating to me Pastor's sermon each time we see each other. Truly appreciate. Worship started...I stood up and started to join everyone in singing...soon I found myself simply joyfully singing out loud, exalting and in awe of worship. I had seriously no idea what I was singing! I only knew how to read and pronounce and thus sing, but no idea what it meant etc, except for a few words that I made out. But bold and behold, I was literally worshipping. I let out my own personal way of expressing in worship and simply let God. Words alone can't describe what happened this morning, but it was truly awesome. Worship indeed is universal.

Last sunday, I suggested to Ben perhaps we can have a meal together and hang out, to chat and u know...well, get to know each other better. He said it was a great idea and thus after church today, I went to his place for lunch. Boy, his kid, "Elias" is such a CUTE ADORABLE baby! For all who have not seen the cutest baby in France, well...here you go :

Over lunch, Ben, Lucie (his beautiful wife) and myself opened up to each other. I was telling them the differences between Singapore and France...haha, it was really fascinating when I told them about the pace of life in Singapore in comparison to France. Seriously, once u come to France and work, you will nv wanna return to Singapore. I should have also taken pictures of their expressions when I told them about the price of a car back home, everyone simply...STUNNED. Haha.. But what I was extremely envious about...was that working in France...for a military guy for eg. Annual leaves = 9 (NINE!!!) WEEKS. Gdness...compared to my... XX, seriously, this is WOAH (jaw dropped!) I was like stunned. haha...well, to sum up...we spent about 3 hours on lunch and just sharing. I was even glad when they asked me about my testimony. (Meaning how I came to know Christ) I shared...and continued on to mummy's testimony...and truly, looking back, God has NEVER failed me or my family. He has provided unceasingly to our needs. Note: NEEDS. I nv said WANTS....haha, but of cuz, God SOMETIMES has blessed us with our wants...HAHAHAHA....ok, u got the point la ah? Haha...

After a long afternoon, I returned back to my room...suddenly felt all so tired...and kinda uncomfortable...sick all of a sudden...but den, I was chatting with a very gd fren over msn. Was sharing with each other...and apparently my fren was going through a tough time. Was really really glad to be granted an opportunity to share with another again of God's goodness and love. He nv fails.

Lord thank you for everything. Truly, I cannot think of words to put together to tell of ur greatness. You are truly, awesome. :)

Detons...LOOK FORWARD to church camp ye! I'm sure you guys will enjoy it. Give ur full support to the committee too! Guys, jiayou! Be ready to be blessed & ministered as well as be prepared to be a blessing and to minister. Cheers :)
