My Inspiration

God has ministered to me so much just by watching these videos. Ryan Hall, representing USA for this year's Beijing Olympics. He broke a new record when doing the Olympic Trials in New York and look at how his life has been a testimony. I'm honestly speechless, but after I watched his videos...I wrote down references from the bible...picked up my iPod, suit up in my running gear, went out...and ran. Just run man. Sun was hot, but who cares, just run. Because you're running not for the prize tt ppl go after, but after the prize that is eternal. YOU ARE RUNNING FOR GOD! 

He shared with us the bible references that hit him during his years of running, (he's only 25 btw, if i'm not wrong). His world tumbled in 2004 and everything just went wrong. He could not run in the Olympics...but God picked him up. And when he ran the trials for this years Olympics, he broke the record and was the champion. But I was touched with how he ended his race...he ended with his hands pointing up to the sky...thanking God. After he crossed the line, he went on his knees and thanked God. You know, its never easy to do tt. Especially after winning a race with thousands and possibly millions of ppl chasing u on, saying "YOU did it! YOU won! YOU're the best!" And because of all these praises, you can't help it but just take their praise and accept the glory for urself. But no. He didn't. He gave thanks to God. Sounds easy, but not with all the hype.

He shared on the video on a few quotes tt ministered to him. One of them being : "I wish that everyone could become rich and famous and have everything that they could ever dream of so they can find out its not the answer." - Jim Carrey. Surprising don't u think? He's good friend, Josh, also shared on the video about the parable of the talents. Go forth and multiply it. God gave us abilities and passion. He shared bout PAD. Passions and Abilities will show us our Destiny. So many bible references...like 

Matthew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

Matthew 25 - The parable of the Talents.

Galatians 6:4-5 "Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load." (Sharing that not winning a Gold medal doesn't make you a failure. For men chase the prize that they crave for, but you chase a prize that is eternal.)

1 Timothy 4:15-16 "Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers."

Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is Lord Christ you are serving." 

Lastly, on the video, it was quoted "We glorify the Gift giver by being faithful with the gifts he's given."

You know I'm so so ministered by this guy. Now, how can I relate this to myself? I was thinking...running can be just running (though it is definitely NOT easy). But in my vocation...flying and navigating...etc.. hey, do your best in whatever you do. Do it for God. God is your pilot. Navigate for him! C'om on! You know i don't like ground sch, I just wanna fly...but if I study hard for ground sch, it'll benefit me when I fly. And tts when I make God so proud. I'm sure he already is. I'm proud of him as well! Haha...nothing can take my love away. I love him. I'm gonna do my best, it is super not easy, its tough, some of the stuff I study are so technical tt I have no interest for it at all...but i'm gonna work my heart out for it. Because just like Ryan Hall, I'm going to do it for God. He put me here not to just show tt he is almighty and a God who answers prayer. But also for me to gossip about him. Possibly in another language? Haha...

God rocks. He simply does. Its not a past tense...because...he still is... =)
